West Sussex – Garden room and landscaping
Our brief was to design a garden room at the end the property’s garden. This also included landscaping the area, and providing some planters for growing produce.
The style of the garden room itself was a oak framed old barn style. The inside kept the oak beams exposed and underfloor heating insulated the room. The main roof was made of reclaimed clay, and the gable end was clad in western red cedar shingles.
When designing the landscaping, we designed pathway made from gabions and raised planters leading down to the garden room and vegetable and herb garden, including night-time lighting. This modern style garden, provides a retreat and is hidden from the main garden and house.
